Roy Brooks-Porter wins NUH Volunteer of the Year Award and will be honoured with a bus named after him!
Nottingham City Transport extends heartfelt congratulations to Roy Brooks-Porter, winner of the Volunteer of the Year Award at this year's Nottingham University Hospitals People First Recognition Awards.
Roy has an extraordinary commitment and passion for serving others. His impact within elective orthopaedics and the ward serves as a beacon of inspiration. His tireless dedication to the well-being of both staff and patients is nothing short of remarkable. Over his 15 years of volunteering, he has offered boundless kindness, compassion, and unwavering support, bringing hope to patients during challenging times and inspiring his colleagues through his dedication and positivity.

During the awards ceremony, Roy was left absolutely speechless upon receiving the award and even more so when it was announced that a bus will be named in his honour.
