Statement Following Collision in City Centre

A Nottingham City Transport Navy Line double deck bus was involved in a collision with a pedestrian just after 06:00 this morning, Tuesday 22nd October 2024.

The collision occurred after the bus had departed the bus stop at the bottom of George Street and was making its turn in to Parliament Street.

The emergency services were immediately contacted. The pedestrian, a woman in her thirties, was treated at the scene but died a short time later.

Nottingham City Transport is assisting Nottinghamshire Police with their investigation into this tragic incident.  Our thoughts are with everyone involved and affected by this incident, including our driver who is being supported by the Company.
