For £349, your Academic Year Pass gives you unlimited travel to all University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent campuses, including NTU's Brackenhurst Campus. We also serve Loughborough Town Centre and offer a great network of bus services throughout Nottingham.

Academic Year Pass - for just over £1 a day!

One off payment, offering unlimited travel all day, every day from 1st September 2026 to 31st July 2027.

Valid at the weekends and during holidays too.

Now operating University of Nottingham hopper!

Since 1 August 2026, NCT has been operating hopper, the University of Nottingham’s campus-to-campus bus service.

hopper is free for all University of Nottingham students, staff and visitors.

• 901 Kegworth and Sutton Bonington Campus to University Park Campus
• 903 Jubilee Campus to University Park Campus
• 906 University Park Campus and Jubilee Campus to Lenton and Beeston

NCTX Buses App

The NCTX Buses App is a must have - it lets you plan journeys, see in real time where your buses are and check your bus timetables. Download it from your APP Store now.

Pay per trip or day on the NCTX Buses app, including some exclusive tickets just for students in the Nottingham City Zone:

• £2.50 per trip
• £4.70 for unlimited 24 hour use

To qualify for student discount, students must present (at the time of purchase) a valid photo ID issued by their UK college or university that shows a course expiry date. NUS Extra, ISIC and TOTUM cards are not accepted. Travel can only be purchased for periods of travel that do not exceed the expiry date shown on the Student ID.

Buy online or on our NCTX Buses app, where you can upload your proof of age, which can include a passport, driving licence or any other valid ID under the PASS scheme. Once purchased, click on 'Get Verified' where you’ll be asked to upload a selfie and then how you would like to verify your account. We strongly recommend you select online verification which will trigger an email inviting you to upload your proof of entitlement. Your account is usually verified within 24 hours.

Any application for a refund must be made within 12 months of the purchase date of the ticket or pass, except in the case of special academic products, which must be made by 31st March within the Academic Year of purchase.

Easyrider

Easyrider is a convenient, pre-paid smart travel card which provides travel across the NCT network and is the cheapest way to travel on NCT buses.

Alongside our Academic Year pass, you can also buy shorter periods of travel, such as a week or month at a time, or buy individual days in bulk.

Contactless

Contactless is the convenient, cashless way to pay for your NCT bus travel.

With Contactless Tap & Go, simply tap your contactless card or device on the reader when you board the bus and the system will work out the best capped price for all the journeys you make during the day.

• £3 for one trip
• £5.70 day cap for unlimited all day use in Nottingham
• £8.00 day cap for unlimited all day use in Nottingham and the Outer Zone
